At The Poet

A delicious food experience begins with delicious ingredients. Head chef and owner, Charlie Spencer, strives to make the most of what our county has to offer. And fortunately, in Kent, we are priviledged to have an array of produce available on our doorstep.

Most importantly, Charlie has the drive and passion for food and he wants to share this with you.  The Poet offers a warm and comfortable atmosphere to come and experience those efforts.

Please be patient while we prepare the site..

Our Suppliers

We support the following suppliers because we believe they deliver us consistent, good quality and flavoursome products. They also share what we believe are essential values and practices in food production and provision.

  • Meat

    Chart farm

Chart Farm is a family run business. They are passionate about providing customers with the highest quality, seasonal produce that’s either reared on their farm or sourced as locally as possible from farmers who share their values. They believe in traditional farming, looking after animals in a natural ethical way; which reflects in the flavour and quality of the meat they provide.

  • I.A.Harris

    Fruit & Veg

    I. A. Harris & Son Wholesale Fruit and Vegetable Suppliers have a long history of quality business. What started as a humble newsagents shop is now a well-established company in New Covent Garden Market. They continue to deliver fruit and vegetables with a main focus on customer satisfaction. On a green note, they only use boxes made from recycled material, and are working towards being more economical by phasing out their diesel vans and replacing them with a gas powered alternative.
