A medium-dry sparkling honey wine with elderflower infusion and a bright, floral flavour.
Here in Mereworth, or Marourde to use its historical name, the wild flora and fauna inspire us. With a handful of botanicals and a healthy passion for winemaking, we set about refreshing the world’s oldest drink. Our lightly alcoholic wine is a delicate blend of honey and cool Kentish water, all gently fermented with a pinch of champagne yeast. We infuse this with elderflowers and a tot of elderberry for a delicate floral nose and rosé blush. The result is a modern mead, nine thousand years in the making.
